I think there should be a tag about "sleeping". This came up recently and there isn't a tag for leaks and suggestions.
That's a great idea, actually! I don't suppose you can think of any other posts that would fit the tag? (If not, it's cool, I'll try and dredge some up ;) )
Just a thought - how about a tag for education?
I'm confused on what this tag would be used for - we already have an activism
tag, which is about spreading the word, and a family and friends
tag, which is more about conversations you've had with your nearest and dearest, both of which I think could fit an "education" tag. Unless you had something else in mind? :)

There's a post that violates the gender-neutral language rule: http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/2574670.html.
Got it, thank you for pointing it out.
Thanks for the heads-up! Tag added. :)
do you think I could advertise my journal that I am starting to document my first uses of my fleurcup and cloth pads? I am originally, and still active victimuspersoniEdited at 2011-03-19 09:56 pm (UTC)

Re: Invisable Post?
You mean from menstrualcups.org? I'm having the same problem (and another, more recent post from menstrual_cups
isn't showing up, either). Unfortunately, I don't know how to do anything with the domain... scien
, any thoughts?

What a shame
I found this site crammed full of useful information however I feel very alienated about all the references to gender issues ie not assuming all users prefer the term feminine etc. I truly appreciate and have no issues with people who are gay, transgender or whatever. But I don't feel comfortable or welcome as a female woman, mostly hetero, overweight, with hip replacements. What a shame. :-(
If you have witnessed or experienced any cases of discrimination against heterosexuals, overweight people, or people with hip replacements, please point them out to us. We do want all to feel welcome here, and will work to make sure that this is the case. (Unless what you're angling for is a change to the gender neutrality policy, which is not going to happen.)
is this an lj fail?http://prntscr.com/1qtot
i posted a comment with a link to the comparison photos and it said it's screened, but all i see is an empty box. with your own screened comments, you should be able to see and delete them... and link-less comments are fine so it seems like lj just ate it... or is it some feature against spam or something :S
lol and same happened now but in the default style i'm able to see my comment... should've checked, i'm also able to see it over there. seems like comments with links automatically get screened O_o
Okay, I've just tested it - yep, it looks like a new feature of LJ's, and a rather obnoxious one at that! I can't find any way to turn it off in the community settings... maybe one of the other mods might find something? :/

Size Charts Post
I tried to edit the size charts post at http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/1285963.html
to correct a spelling error and to add a cup I'd missed in one of the charts. When I hit SAVE ENTRY, it gave me an error that my post is too big. =8oO
Is that true? Or did I run into a gremlin?

Re: Size Charts Post
I think it's a gremlin. I deleted one of the charts to make it smaller and it still comes up as "Post too large."

Um, yes, yes it is. Thank you for the heads up!
Good call. I'll leave a note.
Every time I try and post a comment it gives me a error message that I am not a member of the community or that I have to post my username. I have done both and it then it just defaults to I have not posted my username and will not allow me to post comments. What am I doing wrong?
. It looks like you haven't actually joined the community. When you look at the community main page, there should be a link at the top that says "Join this community" - click on that and it will walk you through the process. Edited at 2011-05-28 09:34 pm (UTC)
