I just skimmed through the tags and I may have missed what I was looking for, but shouldn't there be a "money saving" tag? That's a pretty big attraction point for cups, and people like to discuss prices and stuff.
With the Lunette and MCUK being unable to be shipped to the US, I was wondering if it was possible to create a post that had individuals living in Europe willing to act as the middleman(woman?) in order to ship these cups. I'm not sure as to how many people are willing to do so, or if my request for finding such individuals would be flouting the rules, so I'm here to ask :)
There was a post made about it in the past, but I can't remember where exactly.

Purplefog is posting nice things, but she *is* posting rather a lot. Maybe she isn't aware of the posting limit in this comm?

Re: Posting limit?
Right you are! Thanks for the heads-up!

customer service tag?
I was wondering if it would be useful to make a customer service tag and put it under the cup brands section? I think it would help people if they're wavering between certain cups or wondering if there's a history of bad customer service with a certain company.

Re: customer service tag?
Someone else is going to have to put it on the sidebar, though, since I'm still to dumb to figure it out. :P
I thought there was a tag for something like "cups after baby", but I can't find it... I was trying to direct someone to posts with that info.
Since the question comes up every now and then, could it be added as a tag?
I thought there was one too, but I guess I thought wrong! Can you give me an example of a post that should have that tag? (Makes it easier for me is all :) )

Maybe you could add a meluna tag to the brands section? Speaking of which, I'm going to Germany in two weeks and hope to get one and test it out soon - I think the whole new stem/material is a pretty interesting thing.

Re: Meluna tag
oops, sorry - there is one, but not on the sidebar yet. it would be lovely if that could get fixed!
Would it be ok for me to post an entry in the community to find out if anyone in the UK could help me purchase a Lunette Selene? Thank you!
Have you tried posting a comment at the entry I linked earlier?
Can you delete and ban the user/post that was just put up? What an idiot.

Re: new tag request
I don't think a new tag is required for this specifically. We do have a 'doctors' tag, and you're welcome to post using that if you want to ask the community how they've found their doctors reacted to their using a cup, how to find a doctor who is sympathetic, etc.
Hi! I"m just asking for permission to make a post selling a barely used (less than 5 minutes while NOT on my period) Mooncup UK in the community. I understand that people may be against this, but I feel it is worth a try, and I really don't want to waste it.
Thank you. :)
I'm wondering why I've seen someone use the Meluna tag before, but I don't see it next to the other brand name tags on the right (not even in the new brands section).
The other comment I have is that the website menstrualcups.org doesn't seem to direct properly anymore, so the link at the top, "Menstrual Cup Support," doesn't work either. I think there is just a problem with the encoding - the message I get is:
) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden in /home/menstrua/public_html/index.php on line 5
Unable to load journal.
Just gave the menstrualcups.org URL a try - it worked fine for me...
We have to manually update the tag list, so we just haven't gotten around to it... ;) For the most up-to-date list of tags, look here
Hi mods! Did you realize that the MeLuna is still not listed on the bar at the side under "cup brands"? It isn't there either as a brand we know/use, or as one we don't... I'm not sure which category it really should be under, but we are rapidly accumulating posts about it!
Yeah, we've been a bit lazy... ^_^; It's up there now, though!
Every tag can always be seen at this URL
, for the record.

First time user-not going in!
I am 17 and i tried using my diva cup for the first time tonight. I was really excited to use it, cuz i'm kinda a environmentalist and i love the idea of not throwing out any tampons or pads.
But I tried putting it in and it just wouldn't go in. it hurt SO MUCH! I am a viring, so things don't go in there on a regular basis. But I have no problems with tampons at all.
The cup keeps popping open before it goes in, and so I just try and keep shoving it in there, but the pain is too much. even if I get it somewhere up there, I can't deal with it, I can't even move it hurts so much. Am I doing something wrong? Please don't tell me I'm to small to use the cup. I really want to use it.
I've tried to put it in probably around 15 times now, and have had no luck what so ever.
So Please any suggestions??
And I have tried relaxing my muscles...

This question belongs in menstrual_cups
. This is a community for the mods, and this open thread is just for issues pertaining to the community itself (like tag requests).
